Announcing the four beneficiaries of the President’s Award for Creativity​

The President of Malta George Vella and the Minister for the National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government Owen Bonnici presented the President’s Award for Creativity to four organisations, Gabriel Caruana Foundation with the project Whereabout Are You From for the year 2021, while Inizjamed with the project Niġru Ġrajja, Outlook Coop with We Are All Story Tellers, and Fondazzjoni Sebħ with See My Voice are the beneficiaries for the year 2022.

One of the first certified carbon neutral artworks in the World

Diplomazija astuta is one of the first certified carbon neutral artworks in the world, meaning that its greenhouse gas emissions have been reduced, mitigated, or avoided due to specific interventions enacted during the creation, preparation, and setting up process. Diplomazija astuta is the project representing Malta and commissioned by Arts Council Malta for the 59th edition of La Biennale di Venezia, which will soon be closing its doors, on the 27th of November 2022.

State of the Arts in action

The state of Malta’s cultural ecosystem was put under the spotlight in Malta’s first ever national symposium on the arts, titled The State of the Arts – Malta National Symposium, a 2-day event organised by Arts Council Malta on the at the end of October.
