As such, all participants\u2019 work has been safeguarded and can still be fully enjoyed by the public from Saturday evening onwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Festivals Malta is currently in ongoing discussions with the Police and Transport Malta, in order to best organise the floats transport once the weather clears up tomorrow. This is currently projected to begin around 11am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Festivals Malta is appealing to the public to make use of public transport as much as possible in order to avoid using Marsa roads leading to Valletta and alleviate excessive traffic congestion. Affected Marsa roads include the industrial area near ONE stations, Aldo Moro Street (towards Santa Lu\u010bija), Marsa Cross Road, Patri Feli\u010bjan Bilocca Street, Fishermen Street, the Menqa project area, and Spencer Hill (where Lohombus Bank was located). National Road in Blata l-Bajda (towards Porte des Bombes) and St. Anne Street, Floriana will also be affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tickets purchased for the Friday show can be used for both the Saturday show, which starts at 5pm, or the Monday show, which starts at 3.30pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Festivals Malta will keep the public updated regarding any changes to Carnival activities via the official website&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.karnivaltamalta.org\/\">www.karnivaltamalta.org<\/a>&nbsp;and through the Facebook page&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/karnivaltamalta.org\/\">www.facebook.com\/karnivaltamalta.org\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saturday 10 February 2018<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>St George\u2019s Square<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9.30am \u2013 11.30am<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u20ac5<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Children\u2019s Carnival programme starts in St George\u2019s Square with the participation of dancing companies from private schools, Companies C followed by a small defil\u00e9 with the participation of the King Carnival Float and isolated masks along Republic street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saturday 10 February 2018<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>St George\u2019s Square<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5pm onwards<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u20ac10<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another programme starts in St George\u2019s Square with the participation of competitive dancing Companies A, B and D, and Triumphal Floats from Categories A, B and C. Following this, a parade will proceed up Republic Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saturday 10 February 2018<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>St John\u2019s Square<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5pm, 6pm, 7pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Free<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A theatrical production produced by Teatru Malta. \u2018L-G\u0127arusa Karfusa\u2019 is the classical tale of banned love \u2013 between a fruit and a vegetable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saturday 10 February 2018<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Triton Square<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8pm till late<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Free<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Triton 18 Carnival Ball will take place around the fountain outside the City entrance. All Carnival companies and the public are invited. The event will feature local DJs and a live performance by the Big Band Brothers.
